They are origami insects.
Small White, cicada,
cabbageworm, scorpion,
oriental migratory locust, ladybug.
The point is to cut a sheet of origami into quarter.
It gives them a good miniature flavor.

It might just be me, but I personally actually enjoyed the real spider better.... a bit freaker, yes, but I like freaky things :)
